Wine future sets out to discuss the future of the wine industry
Tomorrow marks the start of the 3rd edition of this event which will be entirely online
Everything is ready for Wine Future to begin tomorrow, an appointment which is in its third edition and which, through a series of conferences, will seek to find answers to some of the most evident concerns facing the wine sector. Exceptionally, this 2021 edition will take place online via Zoom and will connect, from Tuesday 23 February to Friday 26 February, different parts of the world.
Over these four days, a complete team of professionals from very different areas will try to find solutions to current challenges in the wine sector, such as the present situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, its economic impact, the problems of the actual climate crisis or social discrimination. Wine Future will feature speakers such as Irina Bokova, UNESCO Managing Director, Manuel Butler, Executive Director of the World Tourism Organization, Francis Ford Coppola, filmmaker and winemaker, Pau Roca, Director of the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine), and more than 70 professionals from around the world, who will share their experience and knowledge to give their opinions and discuss the upcoming challenges facing the wine sector.
Wine Future is the brainchild of former professional tennis player Pancho Campo and his agency Chrad Events, which has produced summits and conferences in more than 20 countries. The first edition of this summit was organised in Logroño in 2009, and two years later in Hong Kong.
