Merenzao

Synonyms: maturana tinta, merenzao (Galicia), tintilla (Canary Islands), verdejo negro (Asturias), María Ordoña (Galicia), bastardo (Portugal), trousseau (France).

Red variety of medium production, medium budding and early ripening, very sensitive to botrytis. The wines obtained from this variety are ripe, tasty, with soft tannins and low layer. Although there are also cases of wines with greater color and structure, given their early ripening, and even a considerable alcohol content.
