LOCATION:

In the north of the province of Tarragona with a production area covering 14 municipalities, to which two new ones have recently been added: Savallà del Comtat and Vilanova de Prades.

CLIMATE:

Mediterranean and continental influences, as the vineyards occupy a river valley surrounded by mountain ranges without direct contact with the sea.

SOIL:

The soil is mainly brownish-grey and limy. The vines are cultivated on slopes protected by woodland. An important aspect is the altitude which gives the wines a fresh, light character.

GRAPE VARIETIES:

WHITE: macabeo, parellada (majority 3.000 has.), chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, viognier and sumoll blanc.

RED: trepat, ull de llebre (tempranillo), garnatxa, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, pinot noir and sumoll negre.
